Frank Worsfold- BVSc (Hons)

Practice Owner (Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours))

Frank graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1989.  He first came to work at Numurkah Veterinary Clinic in 1991, and has been owner or part-owner since 1998.

Frank still greatly enjoys the many challenges and variety of working with all farm and companion animals, and in providing the best possible care for each and every patient.  
He really values working as part of the passionate team at NVC, and treasures the relationships with the many terrific animal owners of Numurkah and district that Numurkah Veterinary Clinic are proud to have as clients.

Outside of work, Frank enjoys spending time with his wife Chris and three teenage children Sophie, James and Ella, gardening, building and pursuing outdoor activities like bushwalking, cycling and skiing.
On their small property, Frank and his family are proud owners of three Golden Retrievers (Harry, Oliver and Wilbur), a pony and three very fat Guinea Pigs.


Peter Grant - BVSc (Hons)

Practice Owner (Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours))

Peter joined partnership with Frank at Numurkah Veterinary Clinic in January 2015 and enjoys the mix of work the practice has to offer and the friendly clientelle.

Peter graduated from University of Melbourne with Honours in 1985. After several years working in dairy and mixed practice in the Western District U.K and the NSW South Coast, Peter moved to Shepparton where he was in partnership for 23 years at the Shepparton Vet Clinic. 

Whilst he enjoys working with all animals, Peter's special interests are dairy cattle medicine and surgery, herd health and small animal orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. 

Peter's further education includes completing Countdown Downunder and InCalf Advisor Courses, APAV and NJDAP accreditation courses, Ruminant Nurtrition courses along with multiple cattle medicine, surgery, reproduction and mastitis courses. 

Peter has undertaken multiple courses in Small Animal Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgery and has many years experience with with both. 

Peter lives with his partner Rowena and their family along with Ant the dog, Dereck the cocky and enjoys helping with the wide vairety of wildlife that comes through his partner Rowena's wildlife shelter at home.

Yang Loh

Veterinarian (BSc/DVM)

Yang graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2018 having completed a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. 

Despite having grown up in Werribee, he enjoys the relaxed lifestyle and sense of community that rural living offers. On the weekends, you may find Yang down at the river with the local fishing club or attempting to ride a horse. 


Sophie MacFadyen

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing)

Sophie, one of our veterinary nurses, originally started with us in 2011 on Saturdays whilst at school. Sophie’s work ethic and ability encouraged us to offer her a part time position once completing school and since 2015, Sophie has been employed on a full time basis.

Sophie has completed both Certificate 2 and 3 in Companion Animal Services and completed her Certificate 4 in Veterinary nursing in 2019. She has also completed additional studies in companion animal behaviour, small animal emergency and critical care as well as dentistry. We are also proud of Sophie for being awarded the GoTafe student of the year award in 2014.

Sophie loves learning anything new in the veterinary field however her special interests include ultrasonography and medical cases.

Sophie grew up on a dairy farm so is able to complement her work with her knowledge on large animals also when dealing with the local farmers.

Outside of work Sophie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, dancing and shopping. Sophie also loves spending time with her pets which include a number of tropical fish, Lily the Xbreed dog, Lulu the Border Collie, Clover the Ragdoll cat and is the proud owner of who many clients know as our friendly clinic cat who loves a cuddle, Tink the cat!

Rachael Down

Rachael has worked as a receptionist at Numurkah Veterinary Clinic for about 4 years and has a genuine soft heart and interest in helping animals. Having lived in Numurkah for over 40 years Rachael enjoys interacting with the many locals she knows and helping them care for their pets the best she can. 

Rachael loves spending time with her family. She is very proud of all of her children; Stephanie, a nurse in Melbourne, Daniel who is completing a double degree at Uni and currently in his 3rd year, Travis who is enjoying his 3rd year of Glass and Glazing and Mary who is currently studying hard in Year 10. She enjoys spending time with her husband Geoffery and loves being in her garden and tending to her menagerie of animals at home.  

Rachael loves to relax by walking her 2 dogs, Nigel, the "little bit overweight" black lab, and Casey her 9 month old lab cross.
